Songs that are very important: A Playlist

I feel like I've neglected this blog quite a lot lately, so I thought it's time for another playlist! This one is full of songs which are super duper important to me, I hope you enjoy it!

This isn't the fanciest playlist you'll ever come across, but it'll do to share some special songs. Which songs are important for you? Share them with me in the comments!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! - Sum Up, Resolutions, Best Of 2013

I don't know why, but I'm really hyper right now and this is my last blog post in 2013 and unlike usual, I have quite some stuff to say!

2013 was the craziest and most chaotic year ever, I can't believe it's already basically over. I can surely say that music came out of nowhere and completely turned my life around. Of course it's been in my life ever since but in 2013 I developed a whole new connection to bands and lyrics and fans. I started to look at music from a completely different point of view and music might or might not have become the centre of my life. I created this blog in February and 99 posts and quite some clicks later, I work for an online magazine, I get to interview bands and I couldn't be happier about the direction my life is heading in.

2013 might have been weird at most points, but it gave me a whole lot of amazing moments. I saw 30 bands live, I had interviews with 6 of them, I met All Time Low and I attended my first festival ever. Music, or the people behind it, taught (and still teaches) me a lot about life and the attitude you could (or should) have towards it and I think these people helped me a lot to become the person I am today.

Before this gets too emotional, I came up with some resolutions I probably won't stick to anyway but it became a tradition for me to think of some resolutions, if I stick to them or not.

  • read 100 books (I'll have to think of ways to afford this but yaay books!!)
  • worry less, act more (this has been one of my resolutions for the past few years but I think I get better at it every year so I can't forget about it
  • don't procrastinate that much (I am really good at procrastinating, sometimes I even procrastinate things I actually want to do and it needs to stop)
  • write more (and when by saying that I mean reviews and stories and just everything that comes to my mind. Writing has been a big deal for me for a few years now and I just enjoy it but I never find the time to sit down for a while and just collect ideas)
  • be more open-minded when meeting new people instead of directly judging them (sometimes I do this thing where I judge people from the sound of their voice, so if somebody has a voice that sounds unpleasant in my ears, I don't even talk to them and that's bullshit and I know it and I'll work on it!!)
Let's talk about this again in 12 months and see how far I got with these. What are your resolutions, if you have any? And if you don't, why not? Leave everything that comes to your mind in the comments!

Last but not least I collected a list of my personal Best Of songs in 2013, so basically this is a collection of the songs I discovered this year and still listen to.

  1. All Time Low - Time Bomb
  2. All Time Low - Backseat Serenade

Merry Christmas, Kiss My Ass - A Playlist

Hey guys, how's it going? I hope you already opened the first part of your advent calendar (I didn't because I left it at home but that only means that I can open 5 or 6 parts at once aw yeah) and I also hope you're getting into the Christmas mood! In case you're struggling with it, I came up with a little playlist for all of you who are too punk rock for classic Christmas songs. Enjoy and feel free to play it on Christmas Eve!

Jimmy Eat World - Last Christmas

I have to admit that I'm perfectly fine with the original as well, even though I'll probably hear it five million times before it's even Christmas. Obviously a few guitars here and there never harm though, do they.

All Time Low - Merry Christmas, Kiss My Ass

What can I say, ain't no playlist without All Time Low, eh.

Issues - Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays

I'm new to this band but Tyler has a fantastic voice and this cover definitely is a win.

My Chemical Romance - All I Want For Christmas Is You

ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE TO COME BACK OKAY
sorry for shouting but I'm still waiting for them to come back like "lol that was just a joke we're back kids what's up??"

Bowling For Soup - Feliz Navidad

That's the best version I found of this song, not gonna lie.

All Time Low - Fool's Holiday

Alex Gaskarth's voice just makes me emotional sometimes and I couldn't spare you this song.

Blink 182 - Won't Be Home For Christmas

I don't even have anything to say about this one.

WHAM! - Last Christmas

Yeah I had to put the original as the last song, it's too good not to do so.

These are the songs I found and like, so if you have some more great punk Christmas songs, feel free to share them in the comments or send me an e-mail (never-enoughmusic@hotmail.com) or tweet me @neverenoughm or come say hi on tumblr (x)!

Back To School - A Playlist

Hey guys, summer is almost over for all of us and many of you will go back to school for another year of useless knowledge, lessons in how to deal with bullshit and finding out that you really won't need maths in your later life. For those of you who can refer to this, I created a little playlist in order to make the first few days a little bit better. I hope it'll help and good luck, you'll do just fine!

30 Seconds To Mars - This Is War

The title speaks for itself I suppose.

Fall Out Boy - I Don't Care

Honestly - how many times a schoolday do you think "Good God, I don't care about why this author wrote the scene like this and not in another way.", or "I don't care about this, what do I have a calculator for?" or "I don't care whether you'll see your boyfriend tonight or not, shut the fuck up." ?

Bring Me The Horizon - Antivist

Middle fingers up, if you don't give a fuck! :-)
Well, obviously you can't walk around school with your middle fingers up all the time, so just do it in your mind.

Of Mice & Men - The Great Hendowski

This song offers some very inspirational and comforting lyrics, so if you can't bare with school or life in general anymore, listen to this one.

We Are The In Crowd - Better Luck Next Time

In case you fuck up an exam: don't let it bother you too much, it happens even though you studied a lot or put some extra effort into it, it happens to all of us from time to time. You'll have better luck next time.

All Time Low - Stay Awake

No, actually not. Make sure you get as much sleep as possible, sleep is important when you gotta fight a battle called school five days a week.

Bullet For My Valentine - All These Things I Hate (revolve around me)

at least that's how it was for me when I went to school (at least around 90% of all the 9 years I spent at secondary school).

Green Day - Boulevard Of Broken Dreams

I believe that school does this thing where it breaks and ruins your dreams. Maybe because they're "impossible to reach", maybe because they don't provide a safe job and a good career, maybe because people there don't understand the value of big dreams. Let me tell you something: if you're already on it, leave the boulevard of broken dreams right now. Don't take shit from anybody, this is your life, you can do whatever you wanna do with it.

Coldplay - Don't Let It Break Your Heart

No matter what happens to you, don't let it break your heart. Everything will be okay in the end, I promise.

Blink-182 - Easy Target

Don't be an easy target. I know it's easier said than done, but try to stand up for yourself, try to show the douchebags that you're somebody, too.

Bring Me The Horizon feat. Josh Franceschi - Fuck

Oli says "Fuck" a lot, that should be enough reason.

All Time Low - Heroes

Because no matter how you handle school, you're all heroes and I'm proud of you.

Rise Against - Make It Stop

Bullying is shit. It fucks up young adults who already have enough crap to deal with, sometimes it even costs lives. So, if you ever see how somebody gets bullied, please grow some balls and help them, you'll make a change and maybe save a valuable life.

Album Of The Week: All Time Low - Dirty Work

I know I said that Don't Panic is the best album All Time Low ever recorded but I'm not too sure anymore.

Dirty Work means emotions. It means love, energy and passion. It makes you think about what went wrong in your relationships, it helps you to get over these relationships. It makes you cry, it makes you smile, it makes you sing and it gives you hope. It contains the song I'd marry if I could: Time Bomb. It contains the song that makes me dance on the streets even though there are people around: Do You Want Me (Dead?). It contains the song which gives me this warm, fuzzy feeling in my stomach: Get Down On Your Knees And Tell Me You Love Me. It contains songs that inspire me to write cheesy love scenes for no further purpose: No Idea, Under A Paper Moon and A Daydream Away. For all the kids out there who are too punk rock for "normal" Christmas songs, the four guys from Baltimore offer one that improves your holiday a hundred times: Merry Christmas, Kiss My Ass. It contains songs I skip when I'm not in the mood for them.

Dirty Work is honest. It's pure, it's happy and it's melancholic. The mood of the whole record changes within minutes which is brilliant. It's more mature than Nothing Personal but not as mature as Don't Panic, it's everything I need to be happy for a while.

ROCK AM RING: Day Three aka the best day of my life

From the moment I ordered my ticket to the moment it actually happened, I was beyond excited for the last day of the festival. If you're wondering why, the answer is simple: two of my favourite bands played within a few hours: All Time Low and Pierce The Veil. Hands down: I would have been okay with not attending the festival but when I saw that these two would play, too, I just had to go and it turned out to be the best decision I ever made.

When we arrived at the festival venue at around 12pm, there were already many people lining up to get in because they all wanted to get a spot in the first row for Green Day. When the gates finally opened, I literally ran for my life because I promised myself to be in the first row for All Time Low. While running, my phone fell out of my pocket but I didn't notice, so a random guy ran after me and gave it back to me - if you're reading this now: Thank you so so much, I would have been screwed without my phone!
I ended up in the second row with three extremely tall guys in front of me. Talking to strangers is still quite a big deal for me but this time I got over myself and asked them if they'd let me stand in front of them for All Time Low so I could see properly. The guys were super nice and immediately made some space for me so I had the perfect view. If we met again, I'd bake rainbow cupcakes for you guys because you made one of my biggest dreams come true and I was so scared of actually asking you this and I hope all of your dreams will come true, too.

Just in time at 2pm All Time Low came on stage and I still can't believe this actually happened. It was super crowded again so I couldn't really move but I had enough space to jump around. The first thing Jack said was: "Did anybody already get a blowjob today?"
With this he already won the attention and sympathy of the whole crowd.
The setlist was the same like they have while touring with Green Day, they just left out Backseat Serenade (a pity, I would have loved to hear it) and So Long And Thanks For All The Booze. I'd also love to know how many energy drinks Jack had before they went on stage because he complained about being highly hungover and how he didn't get laid on Saturday night even though he was drunk and he went totally crazy on stage. He shook his ass, stuck out his tongue to the photographers, asked people in the crowd to call him and jumped around as he usually does. Then he found a guy in a shark costume in the crowd, got him on stage and let me tell you: the shark guy created the best vibe. Both Alex and Jack asked us to give him a blowjob because he'd deserve it. Jack said: "This guy deserves a blowjob!!" and Alex added: "Yeah, he needs some oral sex right now."
At one of the last songs, Jack jumped on Zack's back, kissed him on the cheek and ran away before Zack could catch him. Zack was the only one I could take a picture of because he didn't constantly move.

These were the best 40 minutes of my entire life, I don't even know what else to say. As soon as All Time Low left the stage, I got pulled out of the crowd by a security guy and ran to the place where the signing sessions happened. The other girls were already lining up for Simple Plan so I lined up for All Time Low. I still didn't realise that I actually saw them on stage and would see them closer in an hour.
Finally they arrived at the signing and a few minutes later, it was already my turn. Unfortunately we weren't allowed to take pictures but Jack grabbed my hand, shook it and said: "Hey, nice to see you!" I only replied with a short hey because it was like I was in a trance and how Rian's teeth glared totally distracted me. With this beautiful smile, he could totally do a commercial for tooth paste.
Then I stood in front of Alex and somehow I managed to give him my phone and asked if he could sign it. He only smiled at me and said: "Sure!"

And then there was Zack, not saying anything, not even looking up to anybody but quickly signing everything, so I grabbed my card and phone and waited for the girls because before we had time to realise what just happened, we ran to the Clubstage where Pierce The Veil were already playing. They only played for 30 minutes and we arrived after the first 15 minutes. They played Caraphernelia, Bulls In The Bronx and King For A Day - three of my favourite songs by them. I noticed that I lost my camera but luckily somebody found it and gave it to the security guy at the signing so we ran back, got my camera and went to the Centerstage for Simple Plan.

This entry is already too fucking long so I'll make it short: Simple Plan are so lovely, they seem to like Germany a lot because they practised some german what was really cute. After that we took a break to eat and sit around before Green Day played. I've never really been a big fan of Green Day (shame on me) but their show was fantastic. Never before have I experienced thousands of people singing along to a song, check it out here, I still get goosebumps whenever I watch it.

One week ago we sat on the campground enjoying the sun, today I'm still dealing with the worst post concert depression ever. Rock am Ring was such an important experience for me, not just because I had the time of my life but also because it taught me that not everybody automatically judges me for my looks or whatever. I met such open-minded, nice people, I met my heroes, I'm a happy child.

All Time Low - Don't Panic

I hope all of you had a great start into the new week, I'd like to present you my album of the week today: Don't Panic by All Time Low. It's not new to me but I had the urge to write about it and this is the result:

Released on October 9th 2012 through Hopeless Records, the record contains 12 songs and each song is better than the one you listened to before.
Kicking off with The Reckless And The Brave, you already get pulled into this stream of greatness and let me tell you: you won't get out easily. During the last few months this song grew into being the anthem of all the people who are connected to the band in any way. The members definitely are reckless and brave (at least that's the message they carry out into the world) and us fans would like to be.

People on tumblr put the lyrics on pictures of empty beds, All Time Low shot the most awkward video for it and everybody loves it: Backseat Serenade is a song for people who are "sick of sleeping alone", who are separated from their loved ones and who like crazy music videos [x].
We can keep talking about how it feels to miss somebody you love, Alex sings about it. If These Sheets Were States is a love song in disguise. You don't recognize it until you actually pay attention to the lyrics, if you don't do that you get lost in the great sound of the guitars.

I'm emotionally attached to the next song because I don't like the idea of growing up that much. I'd rather sit on my bed at night and wait for Peter Pan to get back his shadow so he can take me to Neverland with him. All Time Low either like Disney a lot, or there's a deeper purpose of Somewhere in Neverland. They also shot a video for it which isn't available in Germany so I can't link you. However, if you watch it, pay attention to Jack's outfit because it's my personal favourite thing of the whole video.

A song I absolutely can't relate to is number ten: For Baltimore. I've never been to Baltimore so I don't know anything about it but the guys from All Time Low love their hometown. They love it so much that they wrote a song for it and that's pretty cool in my eyes (and ears).

I can't decide on which song is my favourite on the album but Paint You Wings is definitely one of them.

All in all I can definitely say that Don't Panic is my favourite album by All Time Low so far and I love seeing how much the whole band grew over the years.

I'm Walking On Sunshine - A playlist to celebrate good mood

You guys seemed to like the last playlist and the weather is fantastic today so I thought I could do a playlist for good mood.

One of the reasons why I love All Time Low so much is their talent of making music for every possible situation in life. No matter what occasion, there's always at least one of their songs that fits.

Probably the best song on Don't Panic and one of their best songs in general.

There's no way to leave out Fall Out Boy on this playlist and if you don't get in a good mood while listening to this song I don't know what else I could do for you.

This song is always a win, isn't it.

My absolute favourite song on their new album, I don't even know what to say about it.

Well, the title speaks for itself, doesn't it. It's one of my favourite songs MCR ever made, it makes me think of all the great moments summer has to offer and all the great moments MCR had to offer (meh, past tense, I'm still not over it).

At least once a week you should go crazy, jump through your room or flat or wherever you feel like and just don't give a shit. I highly recommend to listen to this song as loud as possible then.

This song has something I can't really describe but it makes me feel very good, so.

Get in a car, open all the windows, put this song on and fucking sing.

Okay, I admit it. You Me At Six are on a good way to take over the part of my life which other bands haven't taken over yet but this song is fantastic anyway.

I'm deeply in love with this band and I can't choose a favourite song but this one is damn good.

Okay I lied, this is my favourite WATIC song.

The playlist started with All Time Low so I thought it might be cool to end it with this song instead of the original version.

I hope you enjoy this playlist as much as you enjoyed the last one!

Music is cheaper and sometimes more effective than therapy

Today I want to show you my playlist for moments when I have troubles coping with my mind, unfortunately today is one of those days, so let's go.

Of Mice & Men - Second & Sebring

As you may know I got the lyrics of the chorus tattooed on my arm for several reasons. First of all to cover up some stuff I didn't want to see anymore but mostly because I'm so thankful to have this band in my life. Second & Sebring is probably the most special song I know, it's so powerful, emotional and contains a very important message.

Of Mice & Men - The Great Hendowski

Read this book, you were meant to live
It all means so much to me
But note what's written in red
It says…
It speaks of hope, trust, and love,
The fear of never being good enough
We are all made the same
I know it's tough, but please don't give up
Don't speak that way, 'cause I won't allow you
You're too young to live this way
Just close your eyes and see
The true meaning
You're too young to live this way
Just look around and see
That life is beauty.

I don't think I have to say more, do I.

In my opinion this is the best song they wrote so far, I don't know what else I should say about it, it's just brilliant.

This is one of the songs that makes me feel like I'm floating around, like everything's gonna be okay after all.

Yeeeeah, I like torturing myself with songs like this one. Listen to the Straight To DVD version, it definitely kicks you in the guts, especially when Juliet Simms' part starts. I don't really know why I listen to this when I'm sad anyway but sometimes you just need to cry a little, right? (If you say this doesn't make you tear up, you're a liar or plain weird.)

Sometimes all you need is Oli screaming into your ears. The louder you turn up the volume, the faster the voices in your mind shut up.

Another song I sometimes cry over. Oli sounds so desperate and sad that I just wanna hug him and tell him that it'll be fine but then again this song contains lyrics I'd paint on the walls in my room or print on a shirt and wear it on bad days or even ink it on my body: "We all have our horrors and our demons to fight but how can I win when I'm paralyzed? They crawl up on my bed, wrap their fingers round my throat, is this what I get for the choices that I made?"Guess I don't have to mention how perfect Lights' voice is and how perfect it fits to the song.

Tony Perry is a damn fine guitarist, that's something you can't only tell from this song, but I love blocking out Vic and only concentrate on the guitars. That's a) really nice to get your mind off the stupid thoughts and b) awesome because as I said Tony is awesome.

After King For A Day my favourite song on Collide With The Sky and definitely one of my favourite PTV songs in general.

I'm so proud to be able to sing along to this freakin' song, it took me forever and my voice can't keep up with Kellin anyway but it's definitely fun. The person who decided to let Vic and Kellin sing together deserves an award and I really hope they'll do this again soon!

Well, what can I say... huge thanks to Pierce The Veil for writing this song, I lost count of the times it helped me more than any other song, especially this part: "If I were you, I'd put that away. See you're just wasted and thinking bout the past again, darling you'll be okay."
Yes, I will be okay. It took me a while to realise that and sometimes I don't really believe it but yes.
(No offense but I prefer the version with Jenna McDougall from Tonight Alive: [x]

Don’t wake me up if I’m sleeping this life away
Tell me that I’ll never be good enough
Sometimes it hurts to think it could really be that way
It won’t be that way

I’m tired and I’m lost
I don’t wanna be found
I put my heart and my soul
And strength in this now

So forgive me ‘cause I won’t forget that
Yeah, this world has changed me
So you know when you ask me

Who are you now?
Did you say what you want?
Don’t go back to the start
I’m asking, who are you now?
Did they break you apart?
Won’t you fight back for what you want?

Sometimes you gotta fall before you fly
We’re gonna work it out.

I'm considering "Sometimes you gotta fall before you fly" as my next tattoo, the rest of the lyrics isn't less accurate and sometimes it scares me how much lyrics fit to my situation.

I don't even know what to say about this one, Josh is one of my favourite vocalists on the planet and this song is just pure brilliance and I know this sounds exaggerated but I love it more than coffee and just okay.

The song that made me fall in love with You Me At Six. There are days when I don't do anything else than listening to it and I don't seem to get tired of it, it's just good for my soul.

Stop blending in and start speaking out!
You'll never know what you can do if you don't try now.
Lift up your eyes discouraged one.
Keep moving forward 'til your battles have been won.

They say you were created to do great things,
But words only come to life when you believe.
Stop blending in. Start speaking out!
Don't miss your opportunity.

You know, when you don't hear encouraging words like these from people around you, you stick to lyrics like the ones above. These are the things that keep me going, that keep me chasing my dreams (by the way you support this dream if you're reading this right now so thank you so much!!) and that help me focusing instead of giving up.

Looks like this is my longest blog post ever, it would be super awesome if you guys could leave a comment, throw your opinions at me and I'll bake cookies for you (no seriously, let me know if this playlist helped you or if you want me to do more playlists in the future, JUST FINALLY TALK TO ME OKAY THANKS!)

Long Live The Reckless And The Brave - A like All Time Low

All Time Low has been playing music for ten years now. I'll say it again because I'm that impressed: ten years, that's half of my life. They started shaping their future when I started going to secondary school. Obviously I didn't know them back then. In fact I don't even know anymore how I got into them but then again I can only remember how I got into two or three bands of the gazillions I actually like. Anyway, somehow I got four of All Time Low's songs on my iPod but never listened to them. They were just there, waiting for their big moment and a couple of months ago they got their big moment and I totally fell for the whole band. I was slightly confused because I've known them for a while, I just never cared. However, suddenly I could relate to their songs on a whole new level and it felt so amazing, like I finally found the last piece to a puzzle I've been trying to complete forever.
I'm really sorry if this entry sounds confusing or lacks every kind of sense but I'm trying to explain what this freaking band does to me what isn't easy to do.
Alex' voice definitely has the biggest impact on me. Listening to it feels like drinking a cup of tea in your living room when it's raining outside. It feels like taking a hot shower after a horrible day, it feels like hugging somebody you haven't seen in months. Listening to Alex' voice is like coming home after being away for a very long time and no matter how many bands I discover, at the end of the day I always come back to All Time Low.
When I'm extremely sad, they're the only solution. I curl up in bed and either listen to their songs, or I watch interviews because Jack never fails to make me laugh, no matter how stupid his jokes are (no offense Jack). Sometimes I just watch some of their performances because a) I never saw them play live before and b) they fucking love being on stage and I love watching people do what they love the most. I love seeing how proudly Alex smiles when he looks at the crowd, I love seeing how Jack runs and jumps around on stage (without breaking a leg), I love how they constantly tease each other and how Zack can play a whole concert and only say one or two sentences. And sometimes I play the awesome audio-post of Alex' therapy speeches (can be found on tumblr) on repeat because in real life nobody tells me such inspirational and nice things so Alex has to do it.
If All Time Low taught me anything, it's to keep going. If you find something you really love, then stick to it. Work hard, don't take yourself too serious and smile because it looks good on you. Give yourself some time because nothing happens over night and even miracles take their time. This blog is currently all I have, literally all of my time is spent on preparing and writing entries so I really hope that in two, three or ten years I'll be able to sit down and say: „Yep, it was a good idea to start blogging because I reached my dream.“

Just do me a favour and never ever ask me what's my favourite song of All Time Low because no matter what I answer it won't be the truth. I may say that Time Bomb is the best song they ever wrote but my favourite song depends on my mood and changes all the time. How am I supposed to decide on one song when there are so many to choose from? I could probably give you a top ten though if anybody is interested.

I haven't realised yet that I'll actually see them in less than three months if I survive the previous two days of Rock am Ring and manage not to be killed in a mosh pit on the first day (if it won't happen during Bring Me The Horizon it will happen during Bullet For My Valentine or Asking Alexandria, what am I even doing with my life). And I most likely won't realise it until post concert depression hits but hey, at least I'll know that they're real and own one of my bras (yes I find it funny that fans throw their underwear on stage and whoever thinks it's disgusting can leave).

So, I have no idea if anybody actually cares about what I have to say but I like talking about bands, especially about my favourites and I'd like to do this for the rest of my life.
All Time Low represent all the good things happening in my life, sometimes they're the only good thing happening, sometimes they're even the best. I can't really describe how important this band actually is to me but I tried with this entry.

All Time Low - Nothing Personal

“We’re just fanboys who got a chance.”

That’s how Jack Barakat, guitarist in All Time Low, once tried to explain why his band is so successful. Actually he only emphasized that band members have favourite bands, too, just like everybody else. Jack is also one of the founders of this band: together with Marc Shilling he started making music in 2003 when they still went to Highschool. Bit by bit both the band members and the band names changed, until All Time Low consisted of the four guys Alex Gaskarth, Jack Barakat, Rian Dawson and Zack Merrick. In 2005 they released their debut EP The Party Scene. From now on there followed one album per year and in 2009 Nothing Personal was published, which is my favourite album right after their current one Don’t Panic.
I assume it’s alright to say that Nothing Personal isn’t as developed or mature as Don’t Panic is but that’s exactly why I love it so much. This album perfectly reflects how young the guys were back then, most of the songs are unburdened and just fun to listen to. For example Weightless, which says “maybe it’s not my weekend but it’s gonna be my year”. Basically your only choice is to believe it because by this lyric you’re already deep enough into the song to sing along or at least tap your toes. This may be one of the reasons why they still play Weightless at almost every concert.
Another completely easygoing song is the fifth: Stella. And with Stella they don’t serenade a pretty girl or one of the guy’s mums, no, Stella is a special brand of beer. It took me forever to figure that out but once you know it, the song becomes even better because Alex really covered the actual topic well.
Probably All Time Low’s most famous song hides in this record: Therapy. First of all I believe that the majority of us fans just can relate to this song a lot and that’s one of the reasons why so many people know it before they actually know the band. Furthermore Therapy is one of their most emotional songs. I recommend you listen to the Straight To DVD Version which makes me tear up basically everytime but also Alex’ speeches before they play the song are very emotional and inspirational.
My favourite song on the record is Lost In Stereo. The story behind it is simple: Alex once spotted a fan during a concert and she had so much fun dancing and singing that she didn’t really pay attention to his attempts of contacting her. She was just so lost in stereo that she didn’t notice anything else.
As a conclusion I can say that Nothing Personal isn’t personal indeed. Most of the songs are very radio-friendly and don’t offer too many special lyrics, except from Therapy. If you’re having a good day, celebrate it with this album. If you’re having a bad day, let this album cheer you up.
